Roofing Shingles

To most people, the shingle is the basic unit from which a roof is composed. They are arranged in interlocking patterns on a roof on top of the roofing felt (which rests on top of the decking, or woodwork). There are two basic types of shingle: the wood shingle, which gives a definitively rustic feel, and the asphalt shingle, which gives a distinct urban or suburban feel to a roof. Choose with care: make sure your roofing shingles complement the design of the rest of your home and property!
